Nepal land of opportunitiesNepal is a kingdom with many potentials and possibilities. Nepal has some of the best tourist highlights in the world and almost every single citizen of this world has heard of the Mount Everest and Buddha. With Lumbini as a called birthplace of Buddha, Nepal has some nice marketing advantages above other countries to present Nepal as an Ideal country for tourism and business. Besides these lucky benefits that are just there, Nepal also has a lot of friends. For some reason the number of foreign NGO's volunteers and other people who care and want to help Nepal to be a country without misery, poverty and suffering is enormous. Having said this it is just a question of how to combine all these positive forces into the goal of making sure that all Nepali have a home, enough to eat each day and no fear for violence. All the rest of the current items on the political level are not very interesting until these three goals are achieved. Looking at the amount of violence in the country, one should think there must be a lot of people that really care to make something out of Nepal; some even don't mind getting killed for this matter. If you could put all this great effort and energy in what's really important, you realise that is not necessary that a lot of Nepali suffer each day. Let’s stop all the Hu Ha and corruption and let all parties work together to achieve the important goals of eliminating the poverty. Forget about the all different views of how to politically structure the country. Make a 10 point plan for the next decade together and stick to it. You don't need elections to build up a country. Politics are politics: It's just hassling to defend the politician / parties own status and power. At this moment, Nepal is in the news in a negative way all over the whole world. Mostly the Nepali people are presented as they all support the 7 party alliance and are fed up with the king and his dictorial regime. Blablablabla …. Even in the Nepali newspapers of last few weeks, I didn't read a word about what really is important, only hassle about freedom of speech, democracy and the boycotting of the elections. Why not just let the election go true and try to make them as honest as possible and fight within the new set of borders to make things better. Why make such a big deal about elections and political structure when there are a lot of people suffering in this country. I wish that all parties involved just want to make an end to this. So they should point at those rules and visions that are obstacles to achieve this. As far as I can see it, I just see the current events as silly. It doesn’t make any sense to let this problem escalate so much. With the nasty benefit that poverty and misery only increases. Where are the Nepali people with sense?I know they are out there.. Could they please stand up? Let's agree that all the parties who are involved in the current problems are bad, and didn't do much for the people who suffer. Why do the 7 party alliance have such a big mouth about democracy? They had several years to make something out of Nepal and what did they achieve, did they make an end to corruption?? No! They also thought they were more important than the people they said they would represent. Why should we believe that this time things will be different? On what basis people should put trust in them? Please focus again on the major things: How can we make this country nice & peaceful, with enough food and a house for everybody. Just four question to think about. But not only by politicians, all Nepali people should talk, dream and work on solutions for these questions each and every day. Some ideas to build a new Nepal:1) Arrange local elections everywhere, and force the people to contribute and participate in the building of a new Nepal. Like giving every neighbourhood the possibilities to arrange their own free schools and simple medical care centres. You don't have to be a doctor to do some small health care. Create jobs by building up a better neighbourhoods and get more tourist into the country, more tourist also means more chances for exporting to foreign countries or make deals in the service sectors. 2) Sentence every single person who's is caught on corruption, to social welfare. And redirect the money that is made with corruption back to the people who were affected. Putting them in jail only costs money, let them work to compensate their faults. 3) Sentence every politician that does not do what he or see promised to social welfare also until the time the promises they made are achieved. 4) Install a long term government and a short term government, and let people vote for visions about the future not for parties. Parties can be installed by people that represent their local community. And all they do is just controlling if the vision set by the government is worked out properly. The long and short term government should exist of the most capable people in the country to achieve the goals they set. Think about it: Nepal can be the first truly happy kingdom in this world. And it's within reach. Nepal can be a nice peaceful country without poverty in ten years if all Nepalis want to. Stop all the hu ha and start working together for a better Nepal. Realise that now there is a big big opportunity to make things better. Just picture it and believe it. And there will be peace and food for everybody. Be Wise GuidoComments Nepal: At this very moment Nepal is in the news world wide in a negative way. From our own experience we can say that this let many people who really wanted to do business with Nepal or the visit the country as a tourist to cancel their plans to visit Nepal. And let us not even talk about all the ones which never considered going to or doing business with that far away uncontrolled country. Nepal is wasting huge opportunities each day. All 4 mayor forces in the country: The King, the 7 party alliances, the Maoists and the many of the ordinary people contribute to this negative circle Nepal find itself in right now. Let everybody set aside their way too huge ego and face that everybody with common sense wants the same: peace and prosperity for Nepal. In history there have been many many examples that there is only one single path to achieve this goal in a enduring way and that is by talking. We call upon the representatives of these forces to sit down for talks to achieve these most important goals right away and without any, we say any, preconditions. Just sit down, stop all the stupidity, stop ruining this beautiful country and start working on the future of Nepal. TODAY ! You have something to say ? Mail me at guido@vandegraaf.net Links:
